This policy covers our website, mailing lists, communities, playtests, support, feedback, software, games, accounts, and connected features. What We Collect and Why

Website use

Technical data may include IP address, browser and device type, access time, requested pages, and error or security logs. We use it to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

Mailing lists and communities

Email address, selected lists, subscription preferences, optional country, and a phone number if you request a WhatsApp invitation. We use this information to manage the communications and communities you request, including relevant country-specific updates and delivery, bounce, and unsubscribe records. Depending on campaign settings, our mailing provider may also report opens or link clicks.

Messages, forms, feedback, and playtests

Contact details, messages, attachments, answers, feedback, and participation details. We use them to respond, run the relevant program, and improve our games and services.

Games and software

Depending on the product, we may process Notaverse account details, age or guardian confirmation when requested, third-party platform identifiers, entitlements, software and build versions, device and session details, settings, progress, and crash, diagnostic, performance, gameplay, or feature-use data. We use it to provide and secure the service, verify access, troubleshoot, and improve reliability and gameplay.

Purchases and subscriptions

When direct sales are available, we may process contact and account details, country, orders, entitlements, prices and taxes, transaction status, limited payment identifiers, and subscription, cancellation, or refund records. We use them to complete and support purchases, manage access and renewals, prevent fraud, keep required records, and protect consumer rights. Before you submit an order, checkout identifies the seller and merchant of record and explains which providers receive purchase information.

User content and moderation

We may process content, profile details, reports, infringement notices, moderation decisions, appeals, and related messages. We use them to host content, enforce our rules, handle reports and appeals, comply with law, and protect users and legal rights.

We receive information from you, from software on your device, and from platforms you connect, such as Steam. Please do not send sensitive information through general forms or email unless it is necessary for your request, or personal information about someone else unless you are authorized to provide it.

Is Providing Information Required?

When we ask for personal information, we indicate whether it is required. Where law requires, the form or product notice also gives the purpose, effect of not providing it, main recipients, and our contact details. You are generally not legally required to provide information, but we may be unable to complete the relevant signup, request, program, or feature without required information.

How We Share Information

We share information with service providers and other recipients for the purposes below. These include:

• Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery, security, and error reporting.
• DigitalOcean for cloud infrastructure.
• Fastmail for company email and support messages.
• Google for forms and response storage.
• Mailchimp for mailing-list management and email delivery.
• Mixpanel for product analytics and telemetry in products that use it.
• Steam for storefront, accounts, entitlements, and enabled platform features.
• WhatsApp and Meta for optional groups and communities you ask to join.
• The seller, merchant of record, and payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and checkout providers identified at checkout, for direct purchases and subscriptions.

Google, Steam, WhatsApp, social networks, and other services you choose can also process information for their own purposes under their policies. In a WhatsApp group, participants may see your phone number, profile, and messages.

We may share a report, appeal, or infringement notice with the affected person or rights holder where needed to handle it fairly, comply with law, or resolve a dispute. We may withhold information where disclosure would be unlawful or create a safety or security risk.

We may also disclose relevant information to professional advisers, authorities, or courts where required by law; to protect rights, safety, or security; in connection with a business transaction; or at your request or with your consent.

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe through the link in marketing emails, leave a WhatsApp group through WhatsApp, and withdraw consent through an available setting or by contacting us.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or provide a portable copy of information about you, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may verify your identity and may limit or decline a request where the law permits.

Direct marketing: You can object at any time, and we will stop using your information for direct marketing.

You can make a privacy complaint directly to us. Where applicable, you may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner or to the data protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.

The website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare receives technical information to host, deliver, and secure the site. We do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals because the website does not track users across third-party sites. Third-party sites opened through our links have their own controls.

Security, Retention, and Transfers

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the risks, but no online system is completely secure.

Mailing lists

While you are subscribed, and afterward as needed to document and honor the unsubscribe request, comply with law, or resolve disputes.

Support, feedback, and playtests

While we handle the matter or program, and afterward as needed for business records, legal obligations, disputes, or claims.

Website and security logs

For a limited period based on provider settings, security, and troubleshooting needs; longer if needed for an incident, abuse review, dispute, or claim.

Diagnostics and telemetry

For periods set according to troubleshooting, product-support, and analytics needs, taking account of whether the data remains identifiable.

Notaverse accounts and entitlements

While an account or product is active or supported, and afterward as needed for recordkeeping, fraud prevention, legal obligations, disputes, or claims.

Purchases and subscriptions

For the purchase or subscription and afterward as needed for entitlements, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, consumer rights, disputes, or claims.

User content and moderation

While content is hosted or a report or appeal is handled, and afterward as needed for backups, enforcement, legal obligations, disputes, or claims. Public content may remain as explained in our Terms.

When information is no longer needed under these criteria, we delete or anonymize it, subject to legal holds and residual backup copies that are overwritten through ordinary backup cycles.

We and our providers may process information outside the country where you live. For transfers from Israel, we use a basis allowed by Israeli law and require recipients to protect the information as that law requires. For EEA or UK transfers, we use an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful mechanism where required. Contact us for information about safeguards for a particular transfer.

Children

Notaverse accounts, our websites and communities, mailing lists, playtests, and games or other services accessed through a platform operated by us are not intended for anyone under 16. People under 16 may not use those parts of our services.

A game distributed through a third-party store or platform may be available to younger players under its product age rating and the platform's rules. That does not allow a player under 16 to create a Notaverse account or use our 16+ services. Before a game likely to be used by children collects personal information, we assess its audience and data use, limit collection and retention, use high-privacy defaults, and provide required parental controls. Its product notice explains what is collected, why, and how long it is kept. We do not use younger players' data for targeted advertising.

If you believe someone under 16 provided personal information directly through a Notable-operated account, community, playtest, mailing list, or platform, contact us so we can take appropriate steps under applicable law.

We post policy changes here and update the date above. Where required by law, we provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a new use to existing information.
